Meet the Job

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, your goal is to collaboratively design the prospect's end-state solution. By understanding the prospect's challenges and the value to be realized, you propose the appropriate solution. You will be part of the Solutions Engineering (Sales) team and the larger Solutions Group, where excellent performance can lead to a leadership role. You will communicate technical details linked to business outcomes, translating requirements into distinguished solutions.

You will engage with various stakeholders—from board members to engineering teams—ensuring clarity and progress. The role involves global travel, and you will work on a worldwide scale, with opportunities to travel extensively.

You will guide prospects through their exploration of Backbase products to achieve their digital ambitions. As an expert in digital transformations, you will navigate the full sales cycle—from deep technical dives and proof of concepts to workshops and feedback gathering. Your performance aims to impress prospects significantly.

We value a getting-things-done mentality. You should be comfortable discussing business, personable during casual interactions, and organized—skills useful both professionally and for planning leisure activities during travels.

You will split your time between Italy and the EMEA region, joining a motivated global team based across Amsterdam, London, Dubai, Atlanta, Boise, Toronto, Singapore, and Sydney.

How about You

You possess excellent Arabic, English, and French speaking, writing, and presentation skills, with the ability to persuade, inspire, and motivate others.

You have 8+ years of experience as a (digital) banking consultant with a leading vendor. Experience in banking, payments, tech, or SaaS is a plus, but a proactive attitude is more important than specific years of experience.

You are digitally savvy, entrepreneurial, a team player with humor, hands-on, self-motivated, and capable of driving progress and meeting deadlines.

You are a well-rounded consultant with strong analytical, quantitative, and conceptual skills.

You enjoy teaching new concepts and industry insights to customers and colleagues.

You understand the high standards required for impactful sales cycles and deliverables.

You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to ensure successful customer engagement and collaboration across cultures and time zones.

You are knowledgeable about enterprise software architectures, web, and mobile technologies, staying up-to-date.

You are comfortable working with technologies such as Java, Spring, Angular, iOS, Android, and Kubernetes.
