Job summary

AMUR Solar Energy L.L.C S.O.C seeks a Senior Solar PV Expert / Electrical Engineer in Dubai to support DEWA contractor enrolment and project delivery. You will lead electrical design, installation, verification, testing and commissioning for large rooftop and industrial PV systems, ensuring compliance with UAE standards and DEWA requirements.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in electrical/solar sectors, 2+ years PV experience, and demonstrable project history.

Qualifications

Be at least 24 years old and hold a recognised technical university degree in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Mechatronics or Renewable Energy.
Minimum 4 years of professional experience in electrical installation and construction-related works.
At least 2 years of Solar PV experience with involvement in design, construction, verification or commissioning.
Evidence of qualifications and experience and eligibility for DEWA Solar PV Expert Certification.
Strong knowledge of UAE electrical regulations and DEWA/DRRG/ Shams Dubai frameworks.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee electrical installations for Solar PV projects.
Design, supervise construction, verification, testing and commissioning activities.
Coordinate with DEWA contractor enrolment and documentation.
Provide project leadership for commercial and industrial rooftop solar PV installations.

Job description

Role Overview

AMUR Solar Energy is seeking an experienced Senior Solar PV Expert / Electrical Engineer to join its Dubai operations and support the company's enrolment and activities as a DEWA Electrical & DRRG Solar PV Contractor.

The successful candidate must meet the eligibility requirements for certification by DEWA as a Senior Solar PV Expert.

Mandatory Requirements

Candidates must:

Be at least 24 years old.
Hold a technical university degree from a recognised university/institution in one of the following fields:
Electrical Engineering
Electrical & Electronics Engineering
Electronics Engineering
Mechatronics Engineering
Renewable Energy
Sustainable Energy
Other related engineering degrees may be considered where the academic curriculum contains comparable subjects in Electrical, Electronics, Energy or Renewable Energy, subject to DEWA acceptance.
Have a minimum of 4 years of professional experience in electrical installation and construction-related works.
Have at least 2 years of Solar PV experience.
Have personally worked on at least 3 Solar PV plants/projects within the last 2 years, with demonstrable involvement in relevant activities such as:
Design
Construction / installation
Verification
Testing / commissioning
Be able to provide documentary evidence of qualifications and professional/project experience.
Be eligible to attend the DEWA Solar PV Expert Certification Training and examination.

Highly Preferred

Priority will be given to candidates who:

Already hold a valid DEWA Senior Solar PV Expert Certificate.
Have previous experience with DEWA/Shams Dubai/DRRG Solar PV projects.
Have UAE experience in commercial, industrial or large-scale rooftop Solar PV installations.
Can provide clear supporting documentation for their Solar PV project history.
Are currently based in the UAE and available to join/transfer employment.

Documentation

Shortlisted candidates should be prepared to provide:

Updated CV with exact employment dates and responsibilities.
University degree and supporting academic documents.
Employment/experience certificates.
Details of at least 3 qualifying Solar PV projects, including project location, capacity, completion date, employer/client and individual responsibilities.
Supporting project evidence where available.
Passport and UAE visa/Emirates ID, where applicable.
Existing DEWA Solar PV Expert Certificate, if already certified.

The successful candidate will be employed and sponsored by AMUR SOLAR ENERGY L.L.C S.O.C in accordance with the requirements applicable to the company's DEWA contractor enrolment.
