Job summary

PeopleStrong is seeking a Senior Procurement Manager for Solar/BESS EPC projects to lead end-to-end procurement, vendor management, and logistics. You will optimize inventory, negotiate with suppliers, and develop cost-saving strategies while ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with safety standards.

With 10+ years in supply chain roles, you will mentor a team, monitor market trends, and align procurement activities with project timelines and budgets across regional solar initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in SCM, engineering, business administration, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, preferably in BESS, solar, renewable energy, or EPC.
• Certification in Supply Chain Management (CSCP, CPSM) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage procurement processes for solar equipment, materials, and services required for projects.
• Negotiate and establish relationships with suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.
• Monitor the global solar market to identify new suppliers, emerging trends, and cost-saving opportunities.
• Oversee the logistics, transportation, and warehousing of solar materials and equipment.
• Coordinate with project managers to align supply chain operations with project timelines.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring consistent quality and on-time delivery.
• Manage inventory levels to ensure sufficient stock for ongoing and upcoming projects.
• Continuously evaluate and recommend strategies to reduce supply chain costs without compromising quality or delivery timelines.
• Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, providing guidance and training to ensure high performance.
