Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (MERN Stack)

About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer with expert-level skills in Node.js and React to join our team and contribute to the continued development of our enterprise-grade SaaS platform. The product supports critical business workflows including invoicing, accounting, and inventory management.

This is a hands-on role focused on enhancing and evolving an existing production codebase-not starting from scratch. You will need the ability to deeply understand existing architecture and systems, and then extend, refactor, and optimize it to support a larger user base and modern development standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Work extensively with Node.js (backend) and React (frontend) to extend and improve our current platform
• Analyze, refactor, and build on top of the existing codebase to enhance functionality, performance, and scalability
• Design and implement scalable APIs, robust backend services, and efficient database structures
• Develop clean, responsive, and user-focused frontend interfaces
• Apply modern security practices across the stack
• Optimize performance for high-volume, multi-tenant environments
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to deliver high-impact features
• Contribute to best practices in code quality, documentation, and maintainability

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack development experience
• Deep expertise in Node.js and React.js is essential
• Strong understanding of the full MERN stack : MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js
• Proven ability to work with and evolve an existing codebase effectively
• Experience designing scalable and secure systems
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, authentication strategies, and session management
• Solid grasp of frontend development patterns, component-based architecture, and state management
• Knowledge of MongoDB performance tuning and data modeling
• Comfortable with Git, CI / CD pipelines, Docker, and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on business-critical platforms such as ERP, CRM, or accounting systems
• Knowledge of multi-tenant SaaS architectures
• Familiarity with microservices and distributed systems
• Experience with testing frameworks and performance monitoring tools
