The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

We are looking for a Senior DevOps/SRE Engineer to join our fast-paced, innovative team. This role requires a strong background in software engineering, systems administration, and cloud technologies to manage and automate infrastructure at scale. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining infrastructure systems, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance for our applications, and working closely with development teams to streamline continuous delivery pipelines.

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS & Collocated Data Center.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automating deployments, testing, and integration.
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance system reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Monitor system health, manage incident responses, and perform root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and outages.
• Implement monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Build and manage infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
• Automate repetitive tasks to improve operational efficiency and reduce human intervention.
• Participate in on-call rotations and incident response.
• Ensure system security, backup, and disaster recovery procedures are followed.
• Optimize system performance through tuning, capacity planning, and cost management.
• Conduct performance testing, load balancing, and stress testing to ensure scalability under high traffic.
• Drive improvements in the software development lifecycle and help improve developer productivity.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND 5+ years of SRE/DevOps experience.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Deep knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Automation & CI/CD: Expertise in CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, etc.) and automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
• Monitoring & Logging: Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Nagios, Datadog, etc.) and logging solutions (ELK stack, Splunk).
• Containerization & Orchestration: Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration tools.
• Scripting & Programming: Proficiency in at least one scripting language (Python, Shell, Go, etc.).
• Operating Systems: In-depth knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration.
• Version Control: Strong experience with Git and Git workflows.
• Security: Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and infrastructure environments.
• Networking: Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.), VPNs, and firewalls.
• Collaboration & Communication: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including development, QA, and product teams.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Experience with large-scale, distributed systems in a cloud-native environment.
• Knowledge of databases (SQL/NoSQL) and caching systems (Redis, Memcached).
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Certification in cloud platforms (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer, etc.) is a plus.

Work location:

Dubai, Hybrid (on-site presence at Dubai office at least two days per week)

Must be legally authorized to work in the UAE.
