Job summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer – Site Supervision to join our Abu Dhabi team. You will oversee on-site mechanical engineering activities, coordinate with contractors, perform inspections, and ensure compliance with design specs, safety standards, and project timelines.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, a UAE-recognized PE or equivalent, and at least 8 years’ experience with 5 in site supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineering License (PE) or equivalent recognized in UAE.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering with at least 5 years in site supervision or on-site project management.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, and construction standards.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD or similar) and project management tools.
• Comprehensive understanding of UAE building codes, safety regulations, and local compliance requirements.
• Safety certifications (OSHA, NEBOSH, or equivalent) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate mechanical engineering activities on construction and industrial sites, ensuring adherence to design specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and technical assessments of mechanical systems, equipment installations, and infrastructure.
• Monitor compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and local UAE building codes and regulations.
• Review and approve mechanical work, drawings, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Identify and resolve technical issues and discrepancies in real-time, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and proper installation of mechanical components.
• Maintain detailed site records, progress reports, and technical documentation for all mechanical work performed.
• Lead and mentor on-site engineering teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring professional standards are maintained.
• Participate in project meetings and communicate project status, challenges, and recommendations to senior management.
• Ensure all mechanical systems are tested, commissioned, and operational before project handover.
