Job summary

AESG Dubai is seeking a Senior Site Engineer to act as technical authority in building services projects. You will support the project manager, review documentation, and guide the team on site to ensure quality and safety.

• MEP/ Building Services Engineering degree.
• BSc Mechanical Engineering.

• Certified Commissioning Authority with BCA, ACG or NEBB (desirable).

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications, health and safety and applicable standards.
• Review shop drawings, red marked drawings, as built drawings, method statements, technical submittals against project specifications and documentation.
• Prepare reports such as NCR, SOR, snag list and RFIs.
• Review contractor BIM clash detection for any major issues.
• Assess whether test procedures and recorded results demonstrate compliance with project specifications and industry codes of practice.
• Assist with reviewing project documentation for compliance with project specifications and industry codes of practice.
• Report issues found to senior team members in a clear, accurate and concise manner.
• Liaise with contractors and its commissioning team in a professional manner.
• Monitor installation, submittals and use of engineering tools adhering to project and commissioning guideline.
• Participate in coordination meetings and workshops when required.
• Technical authority and leader within the project team and division.
• Support, mentor, and train colleagues.
• Track completion of tasks, prepare lookaheads and trackers for project milestones.
• Keep daily diary of events and activities under your control, including systems inspected, documents reviewed, and any decision made by authorities on site.
• Coordinate with other site supervision engineers for the site coordination of related services.

Job Purpose

Senior Site Engineer is a senior role within the building services project team, the person undertaking this role is a technical authority in chosen discipline and a leader within the team. They are self-motivated, support the project manager with delivery of project scope and provide training and coaching to the team.

Qualification and Experience

• MEP / Building Services Engineering Degree
• BSc Mechanical Engineering
• Knowledge / Experience in Vertical Transportation systems
• Minimum 10 years of job-related experience
• CSA Grade 5 qualified, desirable but not essential
