Job summary

AFRY is seeking a Civil Engineer with extensive experience in the Power & Transmission sector to oversee civil works for 400/132 kV GIS substations in Dubai. The role requires strong English communication, QA in ISO environments, and knowledge of UAE/GCC design standards.

The successful candidate will supervise site activities, prepare daily progress reports, and coordinate with EPC contractors and DEWA-aligned teams, ensuring safety and quality compliance on project sites in the UAE.

Qualifications

• B.E. in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Fluent in written and spoken English with strong technical reporting skills.
• Experience in ISO quality environments including QA procedures and audits.
• Good knowledge of design standards and codes in UAE / GCC.
• Supervise civil construction works for 400/132 kV substations during execution.
• Prepare daily site reports to monitor EPC contractor progress.
• Adhere to OH&S management system and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise civil construction works for 400/132 kV substations during execution.

• Attend progress meetings with contractors and consultants as required.
• Ensure work complies with method statements and contractual terms.
• Coordinate with main and subcontractors to manage quality and safety.
