Senior Site Architect

Responsibilities

1. Oversee and monitor architectural works to ensure conformance with contract documents and the procedures manual.
2. Review and process all architectural technical submittals.
3. Address RFIs related to architectural aspects.
4. Coordinate and supervise all architectural activities and operations.
5. Review contractor’s architectural change order proposals and provide recommendations to the PM.
6. Lead the coordination process with other disciplines.
7. Liaise and coordinate with necessary sub-consultants.
8. Review contractor claims related to architectural works and prepare recommendations for claims to the PM.
9. Review contractor’s project record documents relevant to architectural works.
10. Manage architectural inspectors to ensure compliance with quality standards.
11. Assist in the inspection of completed works and monitor the start-up, testing, commissioning, and handover of architectural works.
12. Sign off on completed architectural works, ensuring all documentation is complete.
13. Prepare weekly planning reports and progress reports.
14. Perform any other duties as assigned by the PM.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture.
2. Minimum of 15 years of experience in the Middle East, with 6-8 years working in UAE or Middle East based international consultancy environment.
3. Strong technical knowledge of exterior envelope details and material interfaces.
4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
5. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
6. Ability to review and provide feedback on technical documentation effectively.
7. Strong understanding of project specifications and authority requirements.
8. Complete project understanding in the architectural discipline, from inception to handover.
