Job description

· Operate and monitor setting out machines to stretch, smooth, and reduce moisture content in leather hides

· Conduct quality checks and ensure leather meets established specifications

· Adjust machine settings for thickness, pressure, and feed speed based on leather type

· Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues

· Maintain accurate production records and report any defects or issues

· Train and support junior machine operators as required

· Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations

· Minimum 5 years of experience operating setting out machines in a tannery or leather processing environment

· Strong understanding of leather properties and processing techniques
