Role Overview

Otis is growing and we are recruiting a Service Sales Engineer to cover Abu Dhabi and Al Ain territory and reporting to the Service Branch Manager. The main goal of the role is to achieve sales growth through developing a customer prospect pipeline focusing on winning new maintenance contracts, with additional responsibility for selling incremental repair projects.

On a typical day you will:
  1. Manage a portfolio of elevator units through maintaining good working relationships with existing customers
  2. Prepares estimates and issues quotations for additional repairs, upgrading of units and modernization.
  3. Liaises with clients to hunt new clients, negotiate maintenance contracts for non-Otis recoveries and modernization, ensuring all potential client risks are addressed under the renewal terms.
  4. Ensures critical actions on all contracts including “SPL - special contracts” are captured to minimize Otis' contractual risk.
  5. Executes sales strategies to recover lost units, modernization and actively pursues clients to ensure unit recovery on favorable terms for Otis.
  6. Develops a strong relationship with clients by regularly engaging with key contacts and understanding their needs.
  7. Coordinates with the Aftermarket and Service Department to ensure that the terms and conditions of all maintenance/repair/modernization agreements are implemented.
  8. Serve as primary contact for timely resolution of customer needs surrounding inquiries
  9. Develop new customers via cold calling, networking, bids and tenders
  10. Develop your own sales strategy to achieve sales targets
  11. Use Otis’ sales tools to effectively track opportunities, pipeline, and forecast sales results
  12. Conduct sales negotiations and close deals
  13. Collaborate with fellow team members, including other sales representatives and field colleagues

What you will need to be successful:
  1. You have a business or technical degree or have completed training as a technician or technical business administrator, and 5 years of prior work experience
  2. You have strong experience in the sale of technical service agreements requiring consultation.
  3. You have a strong customer and service orientation, including excellent interpersonal skills
  4. You are characterized by a high level of commitment and reliability.
  5. You are target focused, with the ability to work at pace in a demanding, complex, corporate organization
