Role Overview

Otis is growing, and we are recruiting a Service Sales Engineer to cover Abu Dhabi and Al Ain territories, reporting to the Service Branch Manager. The main goal of the role is to achieve sales growth through developing a customer prospect pipeline, focusing on winning new maintenance contracts, with additional responsibilities for selling incremental repair projects.

On a typical day, you will:
  • Manage a portfolio of elevator units by maintaining good relationships with existing customers.
  • Prepare estimates and issue quotations for repairs, upgrades, and modernization of units.
  • Liaise with clients to acquire new clients, negotiate maintenance contracts for non-Otis recoveries and modernization, ensuring all potential client risks are addressed under renewal terms.
  • Ensure critical actions on all contracts, including SPL special contracts, are captured to minimize Otis contractual risk.
  • Execute sales strategies to recover lost units and modernization opportunities, actively pursuing clients to ensure unit recovery on favorable terms for Otis.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients by engaging regularly with key contacts and understanding their needs.
  • Coordinate with the Aftermarket and Service Departments to ensure the implementation of all maintenance, repair, and modernization agreements.
  • Serve as the primary contact for timely resolution of customer inquiries.
  • Develop new customers via cold calling, networking, bids, and tenders.
  • Develop your own sales strategy to meet sales targets.
  • Use Otis sales tools to track opportunities, pipeline, and forecast sales results.
  • Conduct sales negotiations and close deals.
  • Collaborate with team members, including other sales representatives and field colleagues.
What you will need to be successful:
  • A business or technical degree, or completed training as a technician or technical business administrator, with 5 years of prior work experience.
  • Strong experience in selling technical service agreements requiring consultation.
  • A strong customer and service orientation, including excellent interpersonal skills.
  • A high level of commitment and reliability.
  • Target-focused with the ability to work at pace in a demanding, complex corporate organization.
