Job summary

A global leader in innovative technologies, Wärtsilä Corporation, is seeking a Field Service Mechanical Engineer for their Dubai location. The successful candidate will conduct mechanical activities on 4-stroke engines, lead teams, and ensure project execution in line with safety and quality standards. Candidates should possess a degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering and have at least 5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience in Mechanical / Marine Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting on 4-stroke equipment families.
• Experience in leading teams and managing work execution.

Responsibilities

• Perform Field Service Mechanical activities such as Major Overhauls and Planned Maintenance.
• Act as system commissioning engineer and lead related commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with Wärtsilä Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines.

Location- Dubai

Experience required- 5 years

Required Educational Qualification - Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Marine Engineering or equivalent degree.

What will you be doing:

• Perform Field Service Mechanical activities such as Major Overhauls, Planned Maintenance etc according to the work plan for 4 stroke engines, Auxiliaries and related other equipment's.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting on 4 stroke equipment families.
• Act as system commissioning engineer and may lead the related commissioning activities.
• Lead and manage assigned team and related activities during the work execution.
• Interact with customers during the work execution (e.g. conducting introduction meeting, work scheduling etc).
• Perform internal and external progress status of the assigned work.
• Create the Service Work Reports and all required documents.
• Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsila Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental guidelines and customer site procedures.
• Proactively advice and promote available products and solutions to customers.
• Job will require extensive travelling to sites onshore and offshore for energy and marine customers jobs.
