Senior Security System Engineer

Responsibilities

The Physical Security System and Technology Team, under the Physical Security Department of Corporate Services, leverages technology to mitigate security risks within the workplace. The team handles daily operations, maintenance, and upgrades of global physical security and prevention systems (e.g., Lenel, Hikvision, Avigilon) and manages related data.

1. Provide technical support: Document issues, analyze root causes, recommend solutions, resolve issues, and update users and management periodically.
2. SQL database expertise: Develop open connectivity solutions and guide R&D teams on integrating internal applications with security systems.
3. Vendor coordination: Ensure timely resolution of issues raised by R&D teams, document problems, and report status to management.
4. Primary contact role: Act as the main liaison with security system vendors and attend periodic meetings as required.
5. System health checks: Conduct regular checks to ensure secure, stable, and efficient operation globally.
6. System upgrades: Perform application and system upgrades based on vendor recommendations, enhance software capabilities, and develop testing procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Studied in Computer Science, Information Technology, Programming & Systems Analysis, or Science faculties.
• Experience in programming languages such as Shell, Python, and SQL.
• Experience with designing, building, and maintaining large-scale distributed applications or systems, or managing databases, operating systems, and servers.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Self-motivated with proactive problem-solving skills and a drive for continuous development.
• Lenel physical security applications & systems certification or training.
