Job description

Help AG is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Security Engineer with a strong focus on Azure security and Microsoft 365 environments. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of securing cloud-based resources in Azure, along with proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration and security configurations across MDE, MDO, MDI, and MDCA. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview, including Information Protection, Compliance Management, Data Loss Prevention, and Risk Assessment, is essential. The role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to maintain a secure cloud infrastructure.

Responsibilities :

1. Configure, deploy, and manage Microsoft Defender solutions, including MDE, MDI, MDO, and MDCA.
2. Monitor and analyze security alerts from Microsoft Defender XDR products, identifying threats and vulnerabilities.
3. Develop and optimize detection rules, policies, and profiles to improve threat detection.
4. Investigate security incidents flagged by Microsoft Defender products and prepare incident responses to mitigate threats.
5. Integrate threat intelligence feeds to enhance detection and response capabilities.
6. Implement security configurations for endpoints, emails, identities, and cloud apps, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
7. Enforce security baselines and hardening measures using Microsoft Defender tools.
8. Design and implement Microsoft Purview solutions for Information Protection, Governance, Compliance, and Insider Risk Management across Azure and Microsoft 365.
9. Develop and manage policies for data classification, retention, and protection to ensure regulatory compliance.
10. Monitor data access and usage using Purview’s governance tools.
11. Integrate Purview with other Azure services and Microsoft 365 applications.
12. Provide technical guidance on Microsoft Purview capabilities and best practices to clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications & Skills :

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 4+ years of relevant experience.
3. Extensive experience configuring and managing Microsoft Defender products.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration and security.
5. Experience with Microsoft Purview, including information protection, data governance, compliance, and DLP functionalities.
6. Relevant certifications such as AZ-500, MS-500, SC-100, SC-300, etc.
7. Deep understanding of cyber threats, attack techniques, and mitigation strategies.
8. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
9. Strong communication skills for collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
