Job Summary:

Our partner is undergoing a comprehensive technical transformation from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA, and we are seeking a Senior SAP S/4HANA and SAP PaPM Senior Consultant to lead the implementation and optimization of SAP Profitability and Performance Management (PaPM) to generate Route Profitability reports. This Technical Consultant role requires in-depth knowledge of SAP PaPM, enabling the design, implementation, and fine-tuning of profitability models and analytics within the SAP S/4HANA environment. The consultant will be responsible for ensuring that the Route Profitability reports accurately reflect business insights and can guide decision-making for the client.

The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP PaPM, including creating profitability models, configuring data models, handling complex profitability calculations, and ensuring integration with the broader SAP S/4HANA landscape.

Responsibilities:

SAP PaPM Implementation & Configuration:

• Lead the end-to-end implementation and configuration of SAP PaPM for the client, focusing on profitability and performance management with an emphasis on Route Profitability.
• Design and configure SAP PaPM models to calculate and analyze profitability data for airline routes, ensuring data accuracy and actionability.
• Ensure SAP PaPM models are tailored to meet the client’s specific needs, integrating data from operational, financial, and performance sources (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, non-SAP systems).
• Create and configure SAP PaPM data flows and integrations to facilitate efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).

Route Profitability Reporting:

• Develop Route Profitability reports to assess financial performance of flight routes, analyzing revenue, costs, and profitability metrics.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across finance, operations, and commercial teams to define KPIs and metrics for route profitability reporting.
• Design and implement SAP PaPM-based reports that provide key business insights, focusing on revenue, operating costs, fuel efficiency, load factors, etc.
• Optimize the profitability calculation process for timely and accurate reporting to support strategic and operational decisions.

Data Integration and Modelling:

• Work with SAP data integration teams to design and implement robust data models for SAP PaPM, integrating data from SAP S/4HANA and other systems.
• Ensure seamless data flow between SAP PaPM and other SAP modules, such as Finance, Controlling, and Supply Chain.
• Establish data flows with SAP S/4HANA functional teams for accurate profitability calculations.
• Optimize data transformation processes for real-time updates and minimal latency.

SAP PaPM Customization & Optimization:

• Customize SAP PaPM models to align with the client’s business structure, including allocation rules, cost drivers, and profit center models for route profitability.
• Identify opportunities for model improvements to reflect evolving business strategies and operational needs.
• Conduct testing and performance tuning of SAP PaPM models for scalability and accuracy.
• Perform ongoing fine-tuning based on user feedback.

Profitability Analytics and Insights:

• Enable advanced profitability analysis and scenario modeling to support decision-making related to routes, pricing, and costs.
