Job summary

Inflexion, a UAE-based SAP services leader, seeks a Chief Accountant to manage accounting operations, financial reporting, VAT and tax compliance, and robust internal controls. The role requires IFRS knowledge and hands-on ERP experience, preferably SAP.

You will oversee month-end close, cash flow, budgeting, audits, and provide financial insights to aid strategic decisions. Strong leadership and UAE regulatory experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• CA/ACCA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• 8–12 years progressive accounting experience with 3–5 years in a senior role.
• Strong IFRS knowledge and financial reporting experience.
• Experience with UAE VAT, corporate tax compliance, and statutory reporting.
• Hands-on ERP exposure; SAP S/4HANA or similar is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, and Bank Reconciliation.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end close activities in a timely, accurate manner.
• Prepare and review IFRS-compliant financial statements and reports.
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and overall financial performance.
• Lead accounts payable/receivable processes and payroll accounting.
• Ensure UAE VAT compliance and coordinate VAT filings.
• Manage corporate tax compliance and regulatory reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulators during audits.
• Maintain internal controls to protect assets and ensure accuracy.
• Lead ERP-related finance initiatives and process improvements.
