What Does a Senior Sales Manager Do?
- Set and achieve sales targets by managing both the internal sales team and external channel partners
- Design and implement strategic go-to-market plans that expand customer base and boost platform adoption
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and support teams to align messaging and product positioning
- Analyze sales performance metrics, lead business reviews, and present revenue forecasts to senior leadership
- Oversee recruitment, training, goal-setting, and coaching of sales professionals
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and retention
- Deliver product demos, RFPs, technical proposals, and support proof-of-concept activities
- Drive SaaS sales growth across freight forwarding, logistics, ERP, and transportation software markets
- Manage channel partner acquisition, onboarding, and performance, ensuring targets and compliance are met
- Participate in industry events, promote the Cargoes suite, and analyze competitor positioning
What Are the Key Responsibilities?
- Lead direct and indirect sales efforts for logistics SaaS products in the UAE and wider region
- Ensure delivery of new revenue, renewals, and customer retention KPIs
- Develop and manage strategic relationships with partners and key enterprise clients
- Support technical validation activities, pilot programs, and enterprise account planning
- Create sales proposals and close complex solution sales involving multiple stakeholders
- Track and ensure partner compliance with all program requirements and agreements
What Skills Are Needed for a SaaS Sales Leader in Dubai?
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field
- Additional certifications in freight forwarding or logistics are an advantage
Experience:
- 5 to 8 years of proven success in SaaS/Cloud ERP or logistics tech sales
- Experience managing channel sales and driving partner-based revenue models
- Prior experience selling to the freight forwarding, transportation, or logistics sector preferred
Technical & Sales Skills:
- Expertise in CRM, ERP, or logistics platforms with consultative selling abilities
- Excellent in proposal writing, product demos, solution mapping, and pre-sales support
- Proficiency in pipeline management, forecasting, and closing enterprise deals
- Deep understanding of logistics, transportation, or supply chain workflows
Soft Skills:
- Results-driven with strong leadership and team development capabilities
