As Senior Sales Manager, you will lead the sales team of the hotel and analyze local market trends and competitor activity to recommend strategies that keep the hotel a leader in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Analyzing local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads
  • Developing customer accounts and traveling within the local area to drive business into the hotel and increase market share across all revenue streams
  • Negotiating room rates and packages with corporate, government, and other clients
  • Developing and implementing creative local marketing channels, including social media
  • Preparing contracts in accordance with current business and pricing conditions
  • Working within current business strategies and recognizing potential opportunities
  • Collaborating with other departments to create an exceptional guest experience and build strong sales programs
  • Attending sales events as required
  • Supporting the hotel team in the absence of the Commercial Director
  • Producing accurate and timely reports for senior management, including appointments, calls, and leads
  • Preparing weekly and monthly sales reports
  • Responding to customer queries promptly and professionally
  • Managing team performance and incentive programs in line with company policies
  • Recruiting, managing, training, and developing the sales team
