Job Description

As a Senior Sales Manager, you will lead the hotel’s sales team, analyze local market trends and competitor activity, and develop strategies to maintain the hotel’s leadership in the marketplace through the development of future and repeat business. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Analyzing local market trends and competitor activity to identify business leads
  2. Developing customer accounts and traveling within the local area to drive business into the hotel and increase market share across all revenue streams
  3. Negotiating room rates and packages with corporate clients, government, and other customers
  4. Implementing creative local marketing channels, including social media
  5. Preparing hotel contracts in line with current business and pricing conditions
  6. Working within current business strategies and identifying potential opportunities
  7. Collaborating with other hotel departments to enhance guest experience and develop comprehensive sales programs
  8. Representing the hotel at sales events as required
  9. Supporting the hotel team in the absence of the Commercial Director
  10. Producing accurate and timely reports for senior management, including sales activities and business leads
  11. Managing team performance and incentive programs according to company policies
  12. Recruiting, managing, training, and developing the sales team
Candidate Profile

Ideal candidates will demonstrate a commitment to high customer service standards, flexibility in work situations, and a proven track record in sales with successful closing of deals. Additional desirable qualities include:
