About The Job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Downtown, Dubai within the Commercial Strategy team in Dubai, the Senior Sales Manager will be responsible to drive full sales portfolio coverage and client servicing to exceed targets through strategic account management, relationship-building, and effective execution of sales plans. The Senior Sales Manager reports to the Associate Director of Sales.

As a Senior Sales Manager, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Manages and develops a diverse client portfolio including corporate, government, MICE, leisure, and business travel agent accounts, ensuring alignment with business mix strategy and RFP success.
  • Monitors market trends and competition, providing regular reports with actionable insights and proposing strategies to drive revenue and mitigate risks.
  • Executes sales strategies and negotiates deals within set parameters for various segments including transient, long-stay, and group business, while maximizing upselling opportunities.
  • Maintains accurate account management through timely reporting, CRM upkeep, and performance tracking, contributing to meetings with market and customer intelligence.
  • Delivers exceptional customer service by understanding client needs, handling complaints, fostering loyalty, and promoting cross-selling across the brand portfolio.
  • Supports team development and collaboration by leading by example, participating in training, conducting site visits, joining client entertainment, and coordinating joint sales efforts.

As a Senior Sales Manager, We Expect From You

  • Holds senior school qualifications and a degree or diploma in Hospitality, Hotel, or Business Management.
  • Brings at least 2 years of proven sales and banqueting experience in a 5-star hotel, with GCC experience and trade show participation as added advantages.
  • Demonstrates strong computer proficiency across various applications.
  • Possesses a mature, outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal and communication skills for engaging with both clients and colleagues.
  • Excels under pressure, shows initiative, and is skilled in planning, organizing, and time management.
  • Committed to delivering high customer service standards, with the ability to solve problems and adapt to diverse work situations.
