About the role

The EMEA Sales team is looking for a highly motivated Senior Sales Account Executive who is eager to sell a disruptive technology solution in the commodities market and develop our fast-paced company in the African market. Your mission is to own the full sales cycle: prospect new business, develop opportunities, demo the product, and close sales.

What you’ll do
  • Build relationships with prospects and internal stakeholders to grow new business.
  • With the support of a pre-sales representative, execute business development activities to strategically grow the customer base through prospecting and cold calling. Develop a replicable sales process to drive closure.
  • Follow up on qualified opportunities brought by the pre-sales team.
  • Conduct live demonstrations on web applications either virtual or physical meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with our global Sales team, product, and market analysts to build the best product in the market and close exciting global deals.
  • Travel 3 times per quarter to participate in industry events and conferences as Kpler representative and meet prospects.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date sales forecasts for weekly, monthly, and quarterly targets.
You are or have...
  • 5-7 years of experience as an Account Manager selling data / tech / SaaS either to the energy / commodity-related industry (MUST HAVE).
  • Fluency in English; additional languages such as French would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of the African market.
  • Strong sales negotiation, sales closing, and active listening skills.
  • Ability to analyze complex client requirements and needs.
  • Successful track record of selling a complex product or proposition by taking a consultative approach – you effectively build relationships, define needs, and close the sale because you propose the right solution.
  • Driven and self-disciplined. You can work in autonomy without much guidance and thrive in unstructured, fast-paced, ever-changing environments.
  • Easy-going, motivated, and passionate – You are a hunter.
