Job summary

Tungsten Custody Solutions Limited, part of the Zodia Custody Group, is seeking a Risk Officer to safeguard the organization by establishing and maintaining a robust risk framework within the ADGM environment. The role focuses on enterprise risk management, governance, and incident handling in a digital assets context.

The ideal candidate will have 7+ years in risk management within financial services, strong regulatory knowledge of UAE, ADGM, FSRA, and VARA, plus leadership and strong

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a Risk Management role within financial services.
• Experience building risk governance frameworks and overseeing risk functions.
• Regulatory understanding of UAE, ADGM, FSRA and VARA.
• Knowledge of risk governance, enterprise risk management, incident management, disaster recovery.
• Strong delivery mindset, proactive and detail‑oriented.
• Leadership experience managing teams and influencing stakeholders.
• Knowledge of digital asset regulation and blockchain technology.
• UAE residency eligibility and ability to work from ADGM.

Responsibilities

• Design and enhance an enterprise-wide risk management framework.
• Advise the executive team and board on strategic risk.
• Identify, mitigate, and manage operational risks.
• Collaborate with Technology to address cybersecurity risks and develop cybersecurity policies.
• Oversee stress-testing and financial risk management.
• Monitor reputational risks and crisis management strategies.
• Set up risk analytics/reporting frameworks.
• Foster risk awareness and provide training.
• Act as Incident Manager for risk, compliance, and operational incidents.
• Coordinate incident response with stakeholders.
• Ensure regulatory notifications are made within timeframes.
• Maintain an incident log with root cause and remediation actions.
• Escalate material incidents to senior management and Board.
• Support post-incident reviews and remediation tracking.
• Own and maintain the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS).
• Define escalation thresholds across material risk categories.
• Establish breach reporting protocols to Board.
