Job summary

Confidential Careers is seeking a Risk Officer in the UAE to oversee risk across commodity derivatives trading. The role reports to the Board and involves monitoring market, counterparty, credit, liquidity and operational risks associated with hedging and trading activities.

The successful candidate will shape the risk framework for a growing, multi-jurisdictional derivatives business operating from DMCC and beyond.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of relevant risk-management experience.
• Experience in derivatives, commodities, investment banking, brokerage, trading or financial services.
• Strong experience in market and counterparty risk.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the risk management framework, policies and risk limits.
• Monitor market and trading risk across futures and other derivatives.
• Monitor counterparty exposures and credit risk across clients and counterparties.
• Establish and monitor risk limits, margin, collateral and liquidity considerations.
• Provide regular risk reporting to senior management and the Board.
