Job summary

WSP in the Middle East is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to join our Structures Supervision team on major projects across the UAE. You will lead site supervision activities, coordinate with clients and contractors, and ensure delivery of high-quality structural and infrastructure works.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil/Structural Engineering degree with 20+ years in major building projects, including high-rise developments and luxury hotels, and has UAE consulting experience with

Qualifications

• BEng or BSc (Hons) in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Minimum of 20 years’ experience managing major building projects (high-rise, luxury hotels, large residential/commercials).
• Prior UAE experience with a consulting background and proficiency in discipline-specific software.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).

Responsibilities

• Lead construction supervision activities for the project.
• Establish construction management plan and standard practices for contracts.
• Coordinate with Client and Contractor; manage meetings and progress reporting.
• Review HSE plan, contractor programmes, and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Certify interim and final payments; prepare completion and defect certificates.
