The Senior Financial Research Analyst analysis and forecast financial, economic, and other data to
provide accurate and timely information for strategic and operational decisions by using
their knowledge of research methods and analytical techniques to solve problems. This job
assists with data collection and analysis to support the provision of market forecasts and
trend prediction.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for designing and executing strategic market insights projects that generate actionable insights.
- Interpret financial information on costs, prices, expenses, and revenues and make recommendations
- to senior management.
- Conduct and document complex financial analysis projects.
- Develop analysis of economic indicators to prepare forecasts and analyse the company’s short-, medium-, and long-term position.
- Prepare in-depth evaluations of plans and identify new methods of analysis and presentation.
- Reviews data files in preparation of incoming advertising materials decks from the contracted vendors to determine whether weighting of data or re-fielding of select demographics are necessary.
- Build ad hoc database queries and utilise business intelligence tools to extract needed information.
- Build spreadsheets to appropriately summarize information.
- Prepare correspondence to present and explain results.
- Responsible for building Financial Models and valuations.
- Oversee and direct local quarterly reports and statistical production including forecasting and client requests.
- Attends, participates in, and presents timely market information and quarterly updates.
- Develop one-off and regular research reports highlighting the application of research tools and the characteristics of specific indices.
- Play an active role in the development of investment analytics and research tools.
- Uphold company values throughout business practices and utilise sound judgment in decision making.
- Any other additional duties as may be required by management based on needs of the business.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
WORK EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 5 to 7 years in related field
- Proven experience in conducting qualitative research.
- Experience and published research with fixed income, equity, and currency markets.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION
- Relevant bachelor’s degree in related field
