Job Description

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join our team as a Senior Reporter, Middle East, Infrastructure. The reporter will provide exclusive content on LPs, GPs, fundraising, allocations, and commitments concerning the Middle East, as well as outgoing capital in the infrastructure sector. The role involves feeding content primarily into ION Analytics' Infralogic publication and supporting other group products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build close relationships with funds, managers, lawyers, and advisors.
  • Shape coverage of LPs and GPs, including their allocations, commitments, targets, and personnel changes.
  • Write approximately 15 stories a month on the market, which has seen USD 75bn infrastructure deals closed in the last 10 years and a USD 50bn pipeline, including projects in power, transportation, and oil & gas industries.
  • Generate ideas for longer-form coverage and collaborate with Infralogic data and research teams to ensure accurate, exclusive, and impactful news and analyses.
  • Assist with ION Analytics events, including content creation, panel moderation, and speaking engagements.
  • Work with the EMEA editor and senior editors, collaborating with colleagues across the group to support content creation for key customer segments.
  • Maintain high standards of copywriting and adhere to group-wide compliance policies.
Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience
  • Knowledge of the financial market with a proven record of reporting exclusives.
  • At least 5 years of reporting experience in a reputable newsroom with global exposure.
  • Proven ability to break news and produce in-depth analyses.
  • Ability to identify market trends through data research and produce reports.
  • Strong network-building skills to source information and produce reports.
  • Excellent news and analytical writing skills.
