About the Role
We are looking for a Senior React.js Developer to build and evolve the user-facing layers of our web applications. You will work closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers to ship responsive, accessible, and performant interfaces. The ideal candidate is deeply fluent in modern React, thinks carefully about state boundaries and re-rendering, and cares about the details of UX as much as the architecture underneath it.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex UI components and feature flows in React.js using hooks and contemporary patterns.
- Own the frontend architecture for one or more product surfaces, including state management, data fetching, and routing decisions.
- Translate Figma designs into pixel-accurate, accessible, and responsive interfaces.
- Integrate with REST and GraphQL APIs; manage loading, error, and caching states reliably.
- Write meaningful tests (unit, integration, and end-to-end) and participate in code reviews.
- Profile and optimize rendering performance, bundle size, and runtime errors in production.
- Contribute to shared component libraries, documentation, and frontend tooling.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional experience building production web applications with React.js.
- Strong proficiency with JavaScript (ES2020+) and TypeScript.
- Deep understanding of React fundamentals: hooks, reconciliation, context, refs, and component lifecycle.
- Hands-on experience with at least one state management approach such as Redux Toolkit, Zustand, Jotai, or React Query / TanStack Query.
- Familiarity with modern build tools (Vite, Next.js, or webpack) and testing libraries (Vitest, Jest, React Testing Library, Playwright).
- Solid grasp of HTML, CSS (including modern layout and CSS-in-JS or CSS modules), and accessibility (WCAG).
- Experience consuming REST and/or GraphQL APIs and handling real-world error and loading states.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Next.js (App Router) or other SSR/SSG frameworks.
- Familiarity with design systems and contributing to shared UI libraries.
- Knowledge of web performance budgets, Core Web Vitals, and profiling tools (Chrome DevTools, Lighthouse).
- Comfort working in a monorepo setup (Turborepo, Nx).
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and feature flagging.
