Space42 in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Senior Engineer – Software Development to own the React frontend for a critical production system. You will maintain and extend the state architecture, ensure UI performance under real client load, and contribute to the API layer when needed.

The role requires strong React and TypeScript skills, with emphasis on accessibility (WCAG) and legacy-code familiarity. You will work in a live environment, collaborating closely with backend teams to deliver reliable

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on React experience within complex enterprise applications.
• Strong TypeScript skills for scalable frontend codebases.
• Proven ability to identify, analyze and optimize frontend performance in production.
• Solid WCAG accessibility knowledge and practical implementation experience.
• Able to understand and enhance existing codebases and patterns.
• Working knowledge of Java for backend/supporting APIs.

Responsibilities

• Own React frontend development and delivery for the production system.
• Maintain and evolve the application's state management architecture.
• Profile, optimize and ensure responsive, accessible UI under real client usage.
• Collaborate with backend services and APIs for seamless integration.
• Follow established patterns and change-management practices for live deployments.
