Job summary

AECOM in Abu Dhabi seeks a Commercial Manager - Rail Systems to provide end-to-end commercial oversight for a complex rail project. You will manage contract administration, variations, claims, change control, and stakeholder negotiations.

The role requires 15 years of relevant experience in large-scale infrastructure or rail programs, deep knowledge of signaling, electrification, and rolling stock interfaces, and strong leadership to guide cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 15 years of commercial management experience on large-scale infrastructure or rail programs.
• Experience delivering high-speed rail or complex rail systems.
• Knowledge of contract frameworks such as FIDIC, NEC.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with project objectives and contractual obligations.
• Lead full lifecycle contract administration including variations, claims, and change control.
• Negotiate with contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders for value-for-money outcomes.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts, earned value, and cost control.
• Ensure procurement compliance with policies and standards.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, and Project Controls to align scope and risk.
• Support risk identification, mitigation, and contingency planning.
• Prepare commercial reports and presentations for senior management.
