Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in construction or property development; UAE experience desirable.
• Knowledge of UAE construction laws, regulations and standards.
• Experience in cost management, budgeting, and project scheduling.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to mitigate risks.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software like Procore and Buildertrend.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review cost estimates, budgets, and financial plans for construction projects.
• Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Read reports and propose corrective actions.
• Assess variations, value engineering, and cost control with the Project Manager.
• Monitor project progress and report discrepancies.
• Collaborate to resolve technical problems and improve methods.
• Prepare and review tenders, contracts, and procurement processes.
• Manage subcontractors and suppliers for quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee health, safety, and environmental procedures.
• Provide updates to senior management on project performance and risks.
• Maintain control documentation and records.
