Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Abu Dhabi , supporting large-scale heavy civil infrastructure projects . The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience working with construction consultancy firms on projects such as roads, bridges, tunnels, utilities, and marine works . Strong knowledge of pre- and post-contract quantity surveying , cost control , and FIDIC contracts is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full range of pre- and post-contract quantity surveying services on heavy civil projects.
  • Prepare and review BOQs, cost estimates, tender documents, and contract documents.
  • Evaluate and administer contractor payments, variations, claims, and final accounts.
  • Conduct cost analysis, value engineering, and risk assessment to support project delivery.
  • Provide contractual advice and cost reporting to the project team and client.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and client representatives to ensure commercial compliance.
  • Ensure adherence to project budgets and timelines while maintaining quality and documentation standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of post-qualification experience, with at least 5 years in Abu Dhabi/UAE.
  • Prior experience working with international or regional construction consultancy firms is mandatory.
  • Extensive involvement in heavy civil projects (e.g., roads, highways, utilities, bridges, marine, infrastructure).
  • Strong understanding of FIDIC and other international standard forms of contract.
  • MRICS or working toward RICS chartership (preferred).
  • Proficient in cost management tools, MS Excel, and measurement software (e.g., CostX, CATO, Candy).
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of local Abu Dhabi regulations, authorities, and approval processes.
