Job summary

EDGE in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an experienced software engineer to develop and maintain Ground Control Station applications using the Qt framework and QML. You will participate in the full software lifecycle and collaborate with hardware and embedded teams to ensure robust, high-performance GUIs.

The role requires a strong C++ background, 5+ years in GUI/embedded contexts, and familiarity with RTOS, networking, and safety-critical standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Engineering or CS.
• 10+ years software development experience.
• At least 5 years C++ with Qt/QML.
• Experience with large codebases.
• Familiarity with safety-critical standards (DO-178C/ISO 26262) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Ground Control Station software using Qt and QML.
• Participate in full software lifecycle: planning, design, coding, testing, integration and deployment.
• Collaborate with hardware and embedded teams for seamless integration.
• Write and maintain unit tests and documentation.
• Ensure coding standards, especially in safety-critical environments.
