Job summary

Edge Group is seeking a senior software engineer to develop and maintain Ground Control Station (GCS) software using Qt and QML, emphasizing intuitive GUI and high performance.

You will participate in planning, design, coding, testing, integration, and deployment while collaborating with hardware and embedded teams to ensure seamless integration with networked components. Strong C++ and Qt/QML expertise is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or CS.
• 10+ years of software development experience (or 7+ years with a Master’s).
• At least 5 years hands-on experience in C++ development.
• Strong expertise in Qt Framework, Qt QML, and GUI-based application development.
• Proven experience working with large and complex codebases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Ground Control Station (GCS) software using the Qt Framework and QML, focusing on GUI performance.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: planning, design, coding, testing, integration, deployment.
• Collaborate with hardware and embedded systems teams to ensure seamless software integration with connected components.
• Perform integration testing to validate system functionality, reliability, and performance.
