Job summary

An established industry player is seeking a Quality Assurance/Quality Control Manager to lead their quality initiatives. Job Description

  • Quality Assurance (QA):
    Develop and implement the company's quality management system (QMS) and ensure it aligns with regulatory and industry standards.
    Coordinate with various departments to ensure processes are compliant with established quality guidelines.
    Conduct audits, inspections, and assessments to ensure quality control measures are adhered to in all projects and operations.
    Monitor and track project milestones to ensure that quality objectives are achieved within budget and on schedule.
    Provide training and guidance to staff on quality assurance practices, methodologies, and tools.
  • Quality Control (QC):
    Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of QC procedures to ensure that all products/services meet established quality criteria.
    Conduct regular inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products/services.
    Oversee the testing of equipment and services to ensure adherence to specifications and operational standards.
    Analyze quality data and trends to identify areas for improvement and propose corrective actions.
    Prepare and maintain accurate documentation on inspections, tests, and quality results.
  • Collaboration and Reporting:
    Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop and review project specifications and quality plans.
    Liaise with external stakeholders, including clients and regulatory agencies, to ensure quality compliance.
    Provide regular reports on the status of quality initiatives, including any risks or issues identified and actions taken.
    Drive continuous improvement efforts based on feedback from internal teams and client evaluations.
  • Leadership & Team Management:
    Lead, train, and mentor a team of QA/QC professionals, ensuring a strong focus on quality within the team.
    Foster a culture of quality awareness, accountability, and proactive problem-solving within the organization.
    Ensure that all team members are adequately trained and are equipped with the resources and tools necessary to perform their roles effectively.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
    Ensure the proper documentation of all QA/QC activities, including procedures, standards, inspection results, and audit records.
    Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications.
    Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices, quality control methods, and regulatory changes.

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:
  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field. Advanced certifications (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO certifications, CQE) preferred.
  • Experience:
    Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in QA/QC management in a technical services, engineering, or manufacturing environment.
    Proven track record of managing and improving quality systems and procedures in a project-based environment.
    Experience in the technical services or construction industry is a plus.
  • Skills:
    Strong understanding of quality management systems (QMS), ISO standards, and regulatory compliance.
    Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    Ability to analyze complex data and identify quality trends and improvements.
    Familiarity with quality control tools and techniques (e.g., SPC, root cause analysis, FMEA, etc.).
Working Conditions:
  • Full-time position with occasional travel to project sites as required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Work may require long hours, particularly during critical project phases.
