Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Dubai is looking for a Quality Control Supervisor to oversee all quality assurance activities related to mechanical systems and equipment. You will prepare and execute inspection and test plans, supervise non-destructive testing, and resolve non-conformities. Ideal candidates should have over 7 years of QA/QC experience in the oil & gas sector and hold relevant professional certifications.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years QA/QC experience in mechanical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of ASME, API, ISO 9001 standards.
  • Professional certifications such as CSWIP 3.1, AWS CWI preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and execute ITPs for mechanical installations.
  • Supervise NDT activities and verify compliance with standards.

Overview

Specialism Quality Control / Inspection / HSE

Oversees all quality assurance and control activities related to mechanical systems and equipment, ensuring full compliance with project specifications, international codes, and client requirements. Develops and implements inspection and test plans (ITPs), supervises non-destructive testing (NDT), and resolves non-conformities through root cause analysis and corrective measures.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare, review, and execute ITPs for mechanical installations and equipment.
  • Supervise NDT activities (RT, UT, MT, PT) and verify compliance with ASME, API, or equivalent standards.
  • Review material certifications, welding records, and quality documentation.
  • Conduct internal audits and coordinate third-party inspections.
  • Lead resolution of non-conformities and oversee corrective/preventive actions.
  • Work closely with construction, commissioning, and engineering teams to drive quality improvements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 7 years QA/QC experience in mechanical systems within oil & gas, EPC, or heavy industry projects.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant international codes and standards (ASME, API, ISO 9001).
  • Professional certifications such as CSWIP 3.1, AWS CWI, and ASNT Level II preferred.
  • Previous UAE/GCC project experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent leadership, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
