Job summary

Halian in Abu Dhabi is hiring a QA Engineer to join our technology team and help deliver high-quality software solutions. You will balance manual and automated testing, collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders throughout the SDLC, and lead quality improvements.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in QA, hands-on automation with Playwright/Selenium/Cypress, API testing with Postman, and performance testing with JMeter or k6 within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in a technical field is required.
• Minimum 5 years of QA, software testing, or QA automation experience.
• Hands-on automation using Playwright, Selenium and Cypress.
• API testing experience with Postman or equivalent tools.
• Performance/load testing experience with JMeter or similar.
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum processes and defect lifecycle management.
• Experience with Jira or similar test management tools.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test strategies, plans, and cases from requirements.
• Perform functional, integration, regression, and performance tests.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts with modern frameworks.
• Conduct API testing and validation with Postman.
• Execute performance/load testing using JMeter or k6.
• Analyze results, identify defects, and drive timely fixes.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Promote quality and continuous improvement within the QA team.
