Job summary

Halian Group in Abu Dhabi is seeking a QA Engineer to support testing of Open Finance platforms within a leading banking environment, with a heavy focus on API testing, automation, data validation, and integration testing.

The role encompasses designing and executing manual and automated test scenarios, building API automation frameworks using Playwright, TypeScript, Rest Assured or PyTest, and validating REST APIs, data, and event-driven architectures such as Kafka.

Qualifications

• 5-12 years of QA Engineering experience with both manual and automation testing.
• Strong banking or financial services domain experience.
• Proven expertise in API testing and API automation.
• Hands-on experience with Postman, Playwright(TypeScript), Rest Assured and/or PyTest.
• Strong SQL skills for data validation and backend testing.
• Experience with Open Finance APIs, enterprise data management, and Kafka-based event-driven architectures.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and testing best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test scenarios across Open Finance platforms and API ecosystems.
• Build and maintain API automation frameworks using Playwright, TypeScript, Rest Assured, PyTest, or equivalent tools.
• Test REST APIs, integration services, and enterprise data platforms end-to-end.
• Validate data accuracy via SQL queries and backend data verification.
• Validate event-driven message flows in Kafka-based systems.
• Collaborate with Analysts, Developers, Product Owners, and vendors to ensure quality delivery.
• Support CI/CD testing processes and release validation.
