Job summary

Lionhires partners with a tech company delivering product engineering across Fintech, iGaming, and Marketing. The QA Automation Engineer will design and maintain automated tests in TypeScript, work with cross-functional teams, and evolve testing strategies across the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities include building robust test frameworks, guiding testing decisions, and ensuring reliable test suites within CI/CD pipelines. Strong communication and modern E2E testing experience are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years of experience in test automation within agile product teams.
• Strong programming with TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience with Playwright or equivalent for E2E testing.
• Knowledge of testing pyramid, shift-left, and contract testing.
• REST API and system testing experience.
• Ability to design mocks and test doubles for isolation.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and test observability tools.
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust end-to-end tests in TypeScript alongside code.
• Collaborate with frontend, backend, and DevOps teams across feature lifecycles.
• Define test strategies at feature and system levels.
• Architect and evolve the automation framework for CI/CD.
• Choose mocks, stubs, or real integrations based on goals.
• Ensure automated tests are reliable and fast in CI/CD.
• Review test code and, when appropriate, application code.
• Deliver quick, actionable quality feedback to developers.
• Advocate for built-in quality and evolving testing practices.
