Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior PV Expert to join our growing solar energy team at Z A P SOLAR ENERGY SYSTEMS INSTALLATION L.L.C. The ideal candidate will be a DEWA-certified Electrical Engineer with strong hands-on experience in designing, installing, and commissioning grid-connected solar PV systems.

You will be responsible for overseeing projects from initial concept to commissioning while ensuring full compliance with DEWA and Dubai Municipality regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design, installation, testing, and commissioning of rooftop and ground-mounted on-grid solar PV systems.

Manage DEWA and Dubai Municipality approval processes, including design NOCs, inspections, and final grid connection.

Review and select DEWA-approved solar panels, inverters, and balance of system components for each project.

Prepare and submit all necessary documentation including SLDs, load calculations, and structural assessments as per DEWA and DM requirements.

Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and authorities to ensure seamless project execution.

Supervise and guide site teams during project implementation to meet safety, quality, and time targets.

Analyze system performance post-installation and prepare handover and warranty documentation.

Mentor junior engineers and technicians on project delivery standards and best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).

Certified as a Solar PV Expert by DEWA (Senior level preferred; eligibility to upgrade acceptable based on experience).

Must have DEWA (Dubai Municipality) issued practice certificate

At least 3 completed on-grid solar PV system installations (grid-connected rooftop or ground-mounted).

Excellent organizational, leadership, and client communication skills.

Certified by Dubai Municipality for:

Electrical Fitting and Contracting

Strong understanding of DEWA Shams Dubai regulations and technical standards.

Practical experience handling DEWA project submissions, design approvals, and site inspections.

Familiarity with PV design tools such as PVSyst, AutoCAD, Helioscope, and DEWA DRRG portal.

In-depth knowledge of UAE electrical safety codes, wind load calculations, and installation best practices.

UAE Driving License (preferred).
