Job summary

ECOTECH is seeking a technically strong Senior Applications Engineer with experience in pumps and water/wastewater equipment. The engineer will be ECOTECH's primary internal technical resource, managing the day-to-day technical requirements of the Sales and Proposal teams, reviewing inquiries, selecting equipment, coordinating with suppliers, and preparing technical proposals.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
4–7 years of relevant experience in Applications/Proposal Engineering or technical sales.
Strong practical experience with pumps and pumping systems.
Experience in water/wastewater, industrial or infrastructure applications.
Ability to read P&IDs, GA drawings, technical specifications and tender documents.
Strong written and spoken English with coordination skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Review RFQs, specs, BOQs, datasheets, P&IDs and drawings to determine requirements.
Coordinate with Sales, customers, consultants and contractors to obtain technical details.
Select and size pumps based on flow, head, fluids, operating conditions and project specs.
Review pump curves, duty points, hydraulics, NPSH, motor requirements and materials.
Coordinate with manufacturers and suppliers for selections, quotations and data.
Support preparation of technical proposals, datasheets and submittals.
Provide the Proposal Team with accurate technical information for quotations.
Review quotations/proposals with the Proposal Team before Management approval.
Verify selections, quantities, accessories and documents are complete.
