Job description

We currently have the opportunity with one of the leading hospitals in Dubai, UAE, for a Senior Psychology Practitioner.Job PurposeTo provide patient-centred psychological services, including assessment,crisis intervention, counseling, and psychotherapy in multiple modalities and orientations. To develop psychological services and increase mental health awarenessResponsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of mental health policies and procedures.
  • Provide clinical supervision for trainees and Master’s Level Staff. Conduct professional in-service training and contribute to community-based programs and external trainings.
  • Assume all other administrative and managerial duties in the case of serving as the Head of Section
  • Conduct crisis intervention, intake assessments and diagnostic procedures for inpatient and outpatient clients
  • Provide psychotherapy across multiple modalities (, individual, couples, family, and group) and evidence-based theoretical orientations
  • Conduct psycho-diagnostic assessment procedures including scoring, interpretation, and report writing (applicable to trained professionals only)
  • Provide expert advice, liaise and consult with multidisciplinary teams regarding the psychological needs of patients and families, as well as effective patient management
  • Participate in the development and execution of patient advocacy and mental health awareness initiatives
  • Maintain professional documentation and case records
  • Perform other duties as assigned
