Job summary

BIN GHALIB ENGINEERING ENTERPRISES is seeking a senior project engineer in Dubai to manage project activities, prepare designs, and coordinate with the design drawing department to ensure timely delivery and compliance with client specifications. You will also supervise BOM preparation, engage with client consultants, and support sales and site teams.

The role requires a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, with mandatory experience in water pumping stations.

Qualifications

• Experience with water pumping stations is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Handle all project related activities and update status in project planner as per company procedure.
• Prepare design drafts and sketches as applicable.
• Coordinate with Design Drawing Dept on pending drawings and assign priorities.
• Cross-check and verify drawings as per project and customer requirements.
• Prepare accurate bill of materials.
• Provide engineering support for sales team and attend meetings with client consultants for technical clarification, ensuring minutes of meetings are prepared by the project sales team.
• Check estimated prices, highlight and propose alternate substitutes or IHF stock as appropriate.
• Follow up on material status, subcontracted works and free‑issue materials issues.
• Prepare, submit and obtain approvals for prequalification tender documents and project related documentation; compliance statements, submittals, O&M manuals, etc.
• Maintain engineering catalog library and relevant engineering standards, local and international rules and regulations, end‑user consultant specifications, engineering charts, calculations and technical submittals.
• Standardize designs and drawings for efficient and improved performance in engineering.
• Select right products to comply with specifications and client requirements.
• Recommend improved materials to customers, showing how changes will lower project costs (value engineering).
• Attend client consultant inspections, address customer complaints and comments, and join management meetings to prepare project related reports as instructed.
• Provide after‑sales support to customers as per procedure.
• Coordinate with finance department for project invoicing.
• Handle additional engineering tasks assigned by management.
• Arrange required gate passes for movement of personnel and materials when needed.
• Support site activities, commissioning and installation.
