Job summary

Confidential Company in the United Arab Emirates seeks a senior Water Transmission Engineer with 15+ years of experience to lead the review, design, and coordination of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects across feasibility to tender stages.

You will apply hydraulic modelling, oversee multidisciplinary teams, and interface with clients and authorities, delivering robust technical reports and cost estimates for large-scale pipelines and storage facilities.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of professional experience in water transmission, distribution, sewerage networks, and pumping systems.
• Extensive experience in principal and senior engineering roles, including design management and project coordination.
• Proven track record of large-scale water transmission projects, such as pipelines up to DN1200, pumping stations, and elevated/ground storage tanks with civil, mechanical, and hydraulic works.
• Strong experience in hydraulic modelling and surge analysis for water and wastewater systems.
• Experience working in the UAE; international experience is a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of water transmission and distribution systems, sewerage networks, pumping stations, and storage facilities.
• Expertise in industry software such as InfoWorks WS, WaterGEMS, Bentley HAMMER, EPANET, SewerCAD, EPA SWMM, and Pipe2006 Surge.
• Proficiency in hydraulic modelling, water balance analysis, demand assessment, and transient analysis.
• Experience preparing technical reports and feasibility studies.
• Prior experience working with TRANSCO, TAQA, ADDC, and AADC projects.

Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate water transmission and distribution pipelines, pumping stations, storage reservoirs, and water distribution systems, including large‑diameter pipelines.
• Conduct hydraulic analysis and modelling of water and wastewater systems, covering steady‑state and transient surge analysis.
• Develop, review, and optimise water and wastewater infrastructure projects from feasibility and concept through detailed design and tender stages.
• Prepare and review technical reports, feasibility studies, tender dossiers, specifications, Bills of Quantities (BoQs), and cost estimates.
• Manage design and coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and subcontractors.
• Act as the technical interface with clients, authorities, and contractors, participating in meetings, workshops, and design reviews.
• Support procurement and construction phases, providing technical clarifications, value engineering, and reviewing contractor submissions.
• Contribute to technical proposals, methodologies, staffing schedules, and project planning activities.
