We are currently looking for Sr. Project Manager - Buildings with demonstrated experience in the management of large scale projects (large villa communities).
Responsibilities
- Planning/Scheduling: Implement a high-level effective project management framework and project execution statement; provide guidance to staff in relation to the project execution plan and review content; define and implement criteria for control; monitor the master programme and ensure alignment with the project WBS; oversee progress status updates and lead delay mitigation strategies; ensure the contract programme is in place and reviewed; take ownership of changes and ensure a structured approach to time control.
- Risk Management: Ensure a formal risk management process is in place; chair risk meetings; participate in mitigation and control measures; undertake the handover and formulate an internal Project Management Plan that sets out delivery, resource management, financial management and PSR establishment/ownership.
- Construction Phase Management: Manage stakeholder relationships to facilitate communications; oversee design and site delivery team performance; establish strategies to address issues; ensure timely stakeholder decisions; facilitate collaborative problem solving with contractors; chair progress meetings to proactively manage the project; monitor Contract Administration services to protect the Client.
- People: Invest in sound people management principles; uphold company values; demonstrate leadership; manage welfare and motivation of all direct reports; mentor staff; plan and conduct annual performance reviews.
- Commercial Management: Take responsibility for the project cost element; ensure effective budget control; lead value management where applicable; oversee contract awards and reviews; negotiate contracts; manage the commercial performance in line with governance.
- Client Management: Lead relationship with the Client; identify and resolve disputes; lead client engagement through meetings and presentations; develop relationships with key stakeholders.
- Reporting: Receive and review project reports; establish formal reporting arrangements; maintain project sheets and resumes for the project team.
- Business Development: Identify and communicate potential business development opportunities; promote the Company within the industry.
Requirements
- You will provide senior management input into all project delivery matters and act as the single focal point between Project/Construction Director and delivery teams, possibly across multiple projects.
- This is a senior leadership position requiring professional ability to direct meetings, guide discussion, and ensure tasks are completed to the Company's quality standards and policies.
- You should be a Project Management subject matter expert contributing to project delivery and client success.
- 15+ years of total experience with a track record on mega projects.
- Ideally possess a degree in construction management and/or civil engineering and hold membership/chartership from a construction-related professional body.
