Job summary

Arcsen in Dubai, UAE seeks an experienced Senior Software Project Manager to oversee software development projects on a full‑time, on‑site renewable contract. You will lead planning, execution, and delivery while coordinating with cross‑functional teams and clients to meet timelines and budgets.

The role requires strong leadership, deep understanding of software development methodologies, and proven ability to manage complex projects with stakeholders and budgets in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 6–10 years of experience in software project management.
• Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall methods and their applications.
• Experience with JIRA and Microsoft Project software.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is preferred.
• Experience delivering enterprise software solutions is advantageous.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Software Project Manager to join our team in Dubai, UAE on a full‑time, on‑site renewable contract.

In this role, you will oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of software development projects from initiation to completion. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of software development methodologies. The Senior Software Project Manager will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, stakeholders, and clients to deliver high‑quality software solutions on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Management:
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocation plans to track progress and ensure timely completion of projects.
• Team Leadership:
  • Lead and motivate cross‑functional teams (including developers, designers, and testers) to achieve project objectives.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior project managers and team members, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
• Risk Management:
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies; develop contingency plans to mitigate risks.
  • Proactively anticipate potential problems and take corrective action to ensure successful project delivery.
• Communication and Stakeholder Management:
  • Communicate project status, updates, and risks to stakeholders, including senior management and clients, through regular meetings and reports.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Ensure that software development processes and deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to best practices.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of software releases to ensure functionality, usability, and performance.
• Budget and Resource Management:
  • Monitor project budgets, expenses, and resource utilization; track project costs and ensure adherence to financial constraints.
  • Optimize resource allocation and utilization to maximize productivity and efficiency across projects.
• Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project delivery efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and methodologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement within the organization.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is preferred.
• Experience in the software industry, particularly in developing and delivering software solutions for enterprise or consumer markets, is advantageous.

Eligibility Requirements

• Be currently residing in the UAE or hold a valid UAE residency visa/sponsorship that allows working in Dubai.
• Be available to join within 1–2 weeks of accepting an offer.
• Be available to work full‑time, on‑site in Dubai.
