The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of intensive experience in investment activities, especially in countries like South Africa and Nigeria. Responsibilities include leading project teams, negotiating project documents, and analyzing market conditions. A Bachelor’s degree is required, and an MBA or chartered accountant qualification is preferred.

Overview

Senior Project Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • 1.Finding new business needs, seeds and domains, establish the business hypothesis, structuring business model and propose them to create the consensus and approval for development.
  • 2.Development of new business in Sub-Sahara Africa in the wide variety of Agriculture & Food, Energy, Metal, Consumer and Climate related Business sector with proactive and action-oriented manner.
  • 3.Leading project team members with various nationalities and expertise consists of, such as, staff hired by company Head Quarter, regional hired staffs, external partners / advisors and the employees of company’s affiliate companies.
  • 4.Preparing necessary documents such as proposals, discussion paper with clients and tender documents.
  • 5.Read document and cashflow model and make summary as required for sharing with project team to lead the project team.
  • 6.Creating and / or enhancing relationships with management level of local companies and governmental organizations in line with the division’s direction supporting GM.
  • 7.Negotiating about project documents with concerned parties.
  • 8.Reporting the market situation in timely manner.
  • 9.Collecting and analyzing the market information and proposing necessary action.
Requirements & Experience
  • 1.At least 10 years of intensive experience in investment activities in Sub-Sahara Africa, especially in major countries such as South Africa, Zambia, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Cote D’Ivoire. Preferably worked in Private Equity, Investment Bank or engaged in M&A advisory services in major consulting / accounting firms.
  • 2.Bachelor’s degree of Business, Consumer Science / Academic degree in Agriculture & Food or Energy. Master’s degree will be considered plus.
  • 3.Preferably, qualified chartered accountant / MBA (Tier I B-school).
  • 4.Ideally has experience as an associate in a top consulting firm (post MBA.)
  • 5.Strategic Framing & Analytics : Drives to get beyond the abstract and general to deliver rigorous, nuanced and actionable recommendations. Ability to deliver insightful data analysis & synthesis that uncovers customer and market opportunities.
  • 6.Project Management : Ability to plan and tightly manage the scope and life cycle of a project while balancing multiple stakeholders.
  • 7.Financial / Quantitative Analysis : Demonstrated ability to complete quantitative and qualitative analysis and financial models.
