Job description

Archibat HR Asia is looking for a Senior Project Manager for an International Architecture Design Company to be based in their Dubai office.

Role Description: Project Management

As PM, lead projects with annual revenue of $3M+ in gross billings. This revenue target is to be adjusted accordingly for those holding leadership positions (Region Leader, Design Leader, Practice Leader, etc.) with dual responsibilities.

Participate in the identification of key services to be provided, including the coordination and agreement on scope of services, fees, deliverables, and schedule for all disciplines on all projects.

Lead the team members to perform needed services for the successful project.

Schedule, facilitate, and document meetings with staff and clients related to the project.

Coordinate with Regional Office Leader, Regional Design Leader, and Regional Practice Leader to ensure that the project team is supported with relevant design expertise and information.

Attend workshops and meetings with the US team as needed, participate in forums, presentations, and other global exposure as necessary.

Ensure that complete and accurate client and project information are input into Vision, such as project data, client objectives, scope of services, project and fee budgets, and update as necessary.

Develop a complete project plan in Planifi to include project schedule, phase milestones, and project staffing, and update as necessary. Monitor and update at frequent intervals.

Achieve a minimum of 10% profit goal on all projects. Meet all project budgets and deadlines.

Ensure Quality Assurance processes are maintained on all projects.

Ensure Quality Control reviews are completed and signed off at each phase on all projects.

Ensure all project deliverables are prepared in accordance with DLR Group design and production protocols.

Deliver project design and services with zero claims.

Review project progress, including schedule, budget, and financial performance, on a weekly basis. Manage, issue, and approve invoices as needed.

Manage client’s project expectations of contracted design services throughout the project. Ensure that no services are performed until client approval is obtained.

Bids / Proposals Support

Support business development initiatives by participating in the RFQ, RFP, and interview process. Advise the BDL and Regional Sector Leader (RSL) on Go / No Go decisions.

Participate in the negotiation and development of client contracts and the preparation of the Owner / Architect Agreement.

Participate in the negotiation of consultants’ scope of services and fees and the preparation of the Architect / Consultant Agreements.

Develop and expand client relationships to broaden pursuit opportunities and increase project wins.

Develop Fee and Scope proposals based on coordination with discipline leaders.

Requirements

Bachelor or Master Degrees in Interior Design or Architecture Design.

10+ years of experience working for internationally known design firms.

Prior experience working in Middle East Regions.

Strong portfolio in large scale hospitality and residential projects globally and locally.

Strong Project Management Skills, knowledgeable of local authority codes / approval requirements for the ME region.

Excellent communication and presentation skills in English.

Position is to be based in Dubai.
