A leading transport planning firm in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the OMI EKO project. The ideal candidate will have over 15 years of experience in managing public transport utilities and a Master's degree in a related field. Responsibilities include leading the project team, coordinating stakeholders, and ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget. This role is crucial for the successful implementation of high-capacity mass transit systems.
Required Qualifications and Project Experience:
• A Master’s degree (MSc) in transport planning, business development, or a related discipline from an internationally recognized university.
• Minimum of 15 years of professional experience in the development and management of operations for large public transport utilities.
• At least two major projects involving the design and/or operational management of high-capacity (>5,000 passengers per hour per direction) mass transit systems, such as inland water transport (IWT), metro/tram/monorail, or bus rapid transit (BRT).
• Demonstrated experience in projects funded by international financial institutions (IFIs) in developing countries.
• Proven expertise in project management.
Key Tasks:
• Assume overall and full responsibility for ensuring that all PMOD deliverables for the OMI EKO project are completed with quality, on schedule, and within budget.
• Lead and manage the PMOD project team.
• Serve as the primary liaison with LASWA, AFD, co-financiers, and the EPCS Consultant.
• Coordinate and manage all relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit progress reports to LASWA, AFD, and other relevant parties as required.
• Supervise institutional strengthening and capacity-building initiatives for LASWA staff.
