Job summary

Abu Dhabi National Oil Company is seeking a seasoned Project Engineering Manager to lead cross-functional engineering activities across the full lifecycle from ASSESS to EXECUTE, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives are met.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams with PMC, licensors, EPC contractors, and ADNOC Group companies, uphold ADNOC standards, and drive engineering governance, risk management, and continuous improvement throughout project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
• Strong expertise in multidisciplinary project engineering management across the project lifecycle (ASSESS to EXECUTE).
• Proven experience in managing FEED, detailed engineering, EPC execution, and commissioning activities.
• Strong understanding of ADNOC/VAP requirements, engineering assurance, and technical governance.
• Experience managing engineering consultants, licensors, PMC, and EPC contractors.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and technical decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead multidisciplinary project engineering activities across all project phases and ensure alignment with ADNOC strategies, objectives, and project requirements.
• Participate in development of tender documents and support selection of Engineering Consultants, PMC consultants, licensors, and EPC contractors through technical evaluation and bid assessment processes.
• Coordinate development of Statements of Requirement (SOR), engineering strategies, and implementation plans to support effective project execution.
• Review contractor engineering strategies, specifications, construction methodologies, subcontracting strategies, and technical submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Manage technical specialists throughout engineering, construction, commissioning, and start-up activities and provide guidance on technical issues and engineering decisions.
• Review pre-commissioning and commissioning procedures and oversee coordination of multidisciplinary commissioning activities.
• Coordinate engineering support during construction, commissioning, start-up, and handover phases.
• Ensure engineering deliverables support Operational Readiness, Mechanical Completion, Commissioning, Performance Testing, and Project Handover requirements.
• Maintain effective engagement with vendors, OEMs, and external technical stakeholders throughout project execution
• Ensure engineering activities are executed in compliance with ADNOC HSE, quality, and technical requirements.
• Support implementation of engineering risk management processes and contribute to mitigation of project and technical risks.
• Establish engineering performance objectives and monitor achievement of project engineering KPIs.
• Promote innovation, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement across project engineering activities.
• Ensure timely preparation of engineering reports, technical dashboards, and management updates.
